Ameriglo sw-145r 2 dot rear night sight for s&w m&p shield - AmeriGlo Smith Wesson rear Tritium Sights, Rounded Notch

Every defensive pistol needs a good set of night sights, and the Amerglos are as good as any. They are rugged, bright and quick to acquire. The SW-145R rear sight for the S&W M&P Shield is more snag-free and a better aesthetic match than the factory sight. The wider, U shaped notch is a better shape for rapid, reflexive defensive shooting in any light. This sight mates well with any Ameriglo tritium sight for the S&W M&Ps. Please be aware that removing the original sights from M&P slides can be very difficult as the dovetail slots can be very tight. I made a bronze (harder than brass, softer than steel) punch to drive the the factory sights out. After that the installation was pretty straight forward. The Ameriglo tritium sights are a huge improvement over the factory sights in all ways.
