A sturdy tripod is a must for this set of binoculars. It is heavy because it's big. But when combined with a sturdy tripod it is excellent for it's low price. What a bargain!
Pros: Nice view especially in a dark sky. Very sharp stars. I was able to see the Veil Nebula from a dark site
Cons: The rubber eyepiece collar came off. It was not totally secured.
