Steve's Review of AR500 Armor Testudo Gen 2 Plate Carrier
Overall I would recommend the testudo pc. It's well padded, has all the accessories I wanted and is built pretty well. There are a couple of spots that I am concerned about how long they will last. But only time will tell. It is definitely made for a large frame. I am 5'10" 180lbs. I had to get crafty with the cumberbund adjustment and the shoulder straps snugged down to where I needed them, but then the buckles are riding on my shoulders more than the pad. It's good enough for now until I shell out big money for a custom pc.
Pros:
- light weight
- well padded
- Good material
- Multicam
Cons:
- runs large
- Needs quick release side buckles
- Could you reinforcement where the shoulder straps meet rear
Best Used for:
- Not dying as quickly.
