5 star arca lock - Area 419 Harris Bipod ARCALOCK Clamp Kit

Was torn between this and the SOAR from RRS, ordered this mostly because it was available at a store where I wanted to order 2 more things and combine shipping.

I use Harris on my hunting rig, I love the flexibility of the S25, long legs for stable shooting over grass and small bushes. But I don't always use it, making a QD option excellent. The Area 419 clamp seems to hold very tightly on my XLR Element chassis, I can't slip it even when giving a bump with a rubber mallet, we will find out how it holds up to magnum recoil later. Other than the slightly obnoxious gold knob, this thing works perfectly. Keeps the mount low from the legs to the rifle, which makes it very thin when folded up and stored in my hunting pack.

Notable that at wide open it fits in the rail, and it is a snug fit making it a tad bit finicky that the rail and clamp are in alignment. If it opened a little more the alignment would be less critical and easier to fix into place. This may be a benefit, because you know that you need it wide open to mount it, at even 1/4 turn from wide open it is mechanically locked on the rail (while not being tight by any means).
