Not sure if this was a defective unit or not, but in order for the laser to stay on, you have to keep your finger on the touch sensor constantly. Remove your finger, the laser goes off. This is fine when you have your finger in a "safe" position, where it rests on the lasers switch, but move your finger to the trigger, and when you need it the most the laser shuts off. Pretty much useless in a home defense situation, unless you have the strip that mounts under the trigger guard and activate when you grip the weapon, but as of yet those don't even exist from ArmaLaser. Furthermore, once I mounted it to my Picatinny rail, pressure was applied to the contacts inside the laser and it would not shut off. I had to actually remove it from my gun to get the laser to go off. Also, the pulsating mode stayed on as long as you were touching the sensor, but in steady mode, the laser went off in about one second, wether your finger was on the laser or not. Very poorly executed and a huge disappointment as I had this on-order for over a month waiting for it to be released. Too bad, because it fit my Springfield Armory XD Sub-Compact 40 perfectly.
Pros: Small. Fits sub-compact guns. Looks nice.
Cons: Must constantly touch button for laser to work.
