Quality image - Armasight 5x A-Focal Lens w/ Adapter #23

I bought this to use on an Armasight Spark CORE NVG monocular. The basic NVG quality is very good for a Gen 1, but I wanted better quality beyond 50-100 feet. With is lens installed, I can read license plates at night at 200 feet now with the assistance of an add on IR light.

Prior to having the lens, I could see objects like people at 100+ feet, but I really could not identify features such as eyeglasses. This 5X lens changed that. I can tell if someone has a mustache.

I have to focus frequently when distances change, but that is pretty much what I would expect for a Gen 1 NVG.

My purchase of an NVG was only for investigating noises outside of my house at night. I wanted to do this without disclosing my location by using a flashlight. The monocular by itself is adequate, but adding the 5X lens made viewing at night 5 times better.

I am real happy with this Lens
