Jason l's Review of Armasight Hands-Free Night Vision Monocular Kit for Spark / Sirius / Mini-NYX14
When I rate this "yes" I mean yes(ish). I mean, it works but it's...meh.
It's got decent adjustments on it. It fits pretty good. It just feels....like $30, not almost $100. The material doesn't feel cheap...it's one step up from cheap. Just enough so you don't really complain you spent almost $100 on it.
Plus, the actual swing arm has some play in it. About a half an inch. What I mean by that is the actual arm the night vision attaches too. It doesn't matter what position out if the three it locks into, it has some movement. When it's down over your eye, it's ok, but if you tilt your head down a little, say to look into your red dot or just look down at an angle for any reason it'll swing away from your eye a little. I've been told by Armasight that's what those bungee cords that you see the high speed guys have on their helmet are for. To hold it still. I didn't point out the obvious, to the guy on the phone, that the head unit his company produces doesn't have those, or a good spot to incorporate them. So I found his response....interesting.
But how else are you going to use these hands free not on your rifle?
