Was this a refurbished item? - Astra Optix OTX1600 Laser 6x21mm Rangefinder Monocular

I received the package very quickly after ordering, good job Optics planet.
However a few things were wrong, to start the battery was dead, yes I checked the battery with 2 different volt meters to verify this. Replaced the battery with a new one, which I also checked prior to installing to insure it was good, item still did not work.
It supposedly was to come with a few accessories but the box only contained the rangefinder and didn't even come with a user manual.
I returned it to Optics Planet and chose credit, which was applied to a known brand rangefinder, which is currently on it's way for delivery.
I have purchased many items from Optics Planet and never had a problem, this being the first time. Their communication and service was excellent and will buy from them again in the future.
