Athlon midas 12 x 50 - great for hunting - Athlon Optics 12x50 Midas Waterproof Binocular

Just returned from a Newfoundland moose hunt. These binoculars exceeded my expectations. The 12X magnification came in handy when judging antlers at a distance. I also found the brightness and clarity across the field of view helpful in picking out animals in cover.

They seem light for a 12X bino (33 oz). I used a harness for carrying them around while hiking and when standing. Weight was not an issue.

When I got in close to a group of moose, they came in handy for peeking through brush to see moose and determine bulls from cows and rack size on the bulls.

I look forward to using them again on my next hunt.
