Excellent optics, easy to focus at all distances. This spotter has a great eyepiece and very good ergonomics.I shoot 300 yard targets with cardboard backers and can easily spot .308 holes at that distance. A spotter well worth the money with edge to edge clarity. color and contrast are excellent great packable size and weight. Great for viewing wildlife, the moon and of course spotting on the range. I complimented this spotter with a ray-vin tactical spotter stand and this combo is an incredible package. Do your self a favor and go for it.
