At this price, made in china is expected, no surprises here. For the money spent this scope is a great budget scope, in the price range it blows the competition out of the water and Athlon backs it with a lifetime warranty. If you are expecting a made in USA top tier scope, you'd better keep looking and get ready for some sticker shock. I was very surprised by the quality for the price, Athlon has a new repeat customer, I liked the first one so much I bought a second. It is heavy but built strong, very strong. The fit and finish is very nice. Audible precise clicks. At this price, I dare you to find a better scope.
