Not recommended for winchester sxp defender - ATI Outdoors Halo Side Saddle Gen 2

If you have a Winchester sxp defender, you are well aware of the lack of accessory support out there. Prior to ordering, I called ATI and they said it fit. In fact, the guy I spoke with said that he had it on one. Wow! This item had promise. First off it's well built, although mine had scuffs and scratches out of the box. However all the directions say is that it will fit with modification and they could not provide me with an info other than "your receiver needs to be drilled and tapped." Plain and simple, holes do not line up with factory drilled and tapped receiver and item is not wide enough to fit over receiver without forcing it down and scratching it all up. I guess you could drill your own holes on the side saddle to align it with your receiver but without any direction from the manufacturer on how it fits with modification, and just a claim on their part...well, for me, it either fits or it doesn't. I'm returning it.
