Great magnifier for the price! - Atibal AT-M15 1.5-5x Magnifier

This is an excellent, high quality magnifier. However, it does have a few downsides.

Pros: Great quality glass for the price. Purchased it for $139 on sale with coupon.
The variable magnification adjust smoothly and cleans up my red dot well. ( I have a stigmatism, so most
Red Dots "flare"). Very reasonable weight and in combination with my red dot about the same as the Vortex Diamondback
2-7 that used to be on top. No fisheye and good viewing area through the range of magnification.

Cons: The mount that comes with this is not very tactically sound. It has a "quick disconnect" lever so the magnifier can disengage from the mount for storage. While it picks in tight, the lack down lever stick out to the side when engaged. It catches on many things and had it not been for being aware of the possibilities I would have lost the magnifier twice, as the lever caught once on my sling doing off-hand transitions on barricade drills and once from a catching on a seat belt when doing a car deployment in a class. I will get replaced with a GG&G or American Defense mount.

At maximum magnification eye relief shifts to about 2", from the initial about 4 at 1.5x. I have shot from behind an ACOG before, so I can work with it, but my preferred distance is 3+" so I don't mash my nose with the charging handle while clearing/reloading from the prone.
