L.P.'s Review of Atibal X 1-10x30mm Rifle Scope, 35mm Tube, First Focal Plane
Reticle is decent. Magnification is clear up to 6 then eats it and everything gets hazy. Expected better from a 34mm but if you want absolute clarity you’re gonna pay a lot more for a S&B. Turrets drop and lock for quick adjustments; clicks are loud and audible but turret cap is mushy and ugly. When Resetting the zero the elevation/windage caps will only drop down and lock on EVERY THIRD INCREMENT. This means there is a 2:3 chance your rifle zero will not reflect on the scope turrets settable zero. Example, my turret is forever +0.1/R0.1mil because the turrets will not drop on lock on my real zero. I could try different ammo to get a different zero but why? It’s more or less an eyesore but even the Trijicon 1-8 that I just returned had the same issue. This rifles purpose is 0-600y off the reticle only so I’m not going to be cranking away on the turrets. For a budget 1-10 FFP with a mil reticle i’m not hating. Complaining but not hating. I like it; I’ll keep it but this isn’t that miracle budget scope you’ve been looking for that is a substitute for a 4k$ Schmidt&B. It’s not great but it’s good enough.
Pros:
- FFP
- Mil Reticle
- good illumination
- Cheap af
- 1-10x
- center aiming dot is very fine
Cons:
- Inability to zero turrets
- blurry after 6x
