Ty Rob's Review of Atibal XS 1-10X30 SFP Rifle Scope
I have owned almost every major glass company over the past thirty years of being a hunter, 3 gun competitor, seven years full active military, and an all around outdoorsman. I have everything from a vortex razor on my 300 weatherby TI backcountry to a primary arms platinum hud dmr on my benchrest 700. I contacted atibal before my purchase, I was informed that they are a Arizona company as I was raised on a ranch in Arizona I felt a little sense of pride for that fact. That they are all fellow veterans like myself, but most importantly that the main lenses are Japanese glass. I upgraded all four of my self defense carbines with these optics and I will have to tell you they are all I will buy in the future. I was considering going to the 1-10 razor for 2000$ but when I dove into the specs of this optic it didn't make sense at all. This optic has a larger tube, larger objective, more eye relief, and also the Japanese glass. I would consider this glass on par with the vortex viper line maybe a touch better. It is not as clear as my 4.5-27X56 Razor but my hunting optic weighs 48 ounces. Almost as much as my rifle and the largest let down about that almost 3000$ optic is that at full 24-27 magnification the quality drops off immensely. I feel this is unavoidable in any rifle scope at least what I have experienced your personal mileage may vary. That was the largest let down on my Razor hd gen 2. This optic was not a let down in any way. For the price point you can't go wrong. 1x is true 1x. I can put it on 1x and read a sticker at the end of my muzzle (one of my weird quirky tests). Ten x is clear as anything else and a dream. I like sfp because in my experience I am either on 1x or full magnification on all my optics and with my razor and with my primary arms you lose your farthest range at high magnification so first focal plane no longer makes sense to me. My only complaint is that they used a small circle as the 100 meter aiming point. I would of liked to have seen a chevron or even a small crosshair. I understand why they went with a circle because at close range it is easier to shoot faster. But I prefer a chevron with a circle around it. This is a new company and I had reservations myself but don't forget even vortex was a brand new unheard of company not too long ago at all. Don't hesitate on this optic.
