Night vision on a budget - ATN X-Sight Night Vision Rifle Scope - 3-12x

I have to admit, I have loved the idea of night vision since I was a kid. Like many though, affordability is a major deterrent to acquiring a useable device. Now, with the digital age upon us, we have scopes like these. I'm an avid airgun hunter and have wanted NV for pest control and after hours varmint hunting. The ATN 3-12 X-sight seemed too good to be true. However, I thought I would give one a try.

Though this sight had a rough start at its introduction, ATN diligently addressed most problems and I can say that I am very happy with my scope. Out of the box I updated the firmware and was able to sight in with two shots. My scope holds zero very well throughout the zoom range. All features worked as expected.

Performance during the day is great, but of course, its nighttime use that defines this scope. If you understand the challenges of illuminating the scene with an IR light source (foreground brush will be overexposed), you'll ready for action that you never could access before. If ATN didn't have great customer service, I wouldn't have gambled on this emerging technology. But, the reports are that they have their customer's backs.

Great company, great product! It should only get better with continued firmware upgrades, as needed.
