I used this ring mount on my new Rem. 700VTR with a 30mm tube, Millett tactical scope. A Beamshot 5000U laser is in the 7 to 8 o'clock position,out of the way,but readily accessible.This rifle is a .308Win.caliber and after 250 rounds, the mount and laser are still rock solid and dead on at 200 yards, the original sight point. The upper ring and rail are joined by 2 screws and 2 roll pins. I don't think this will come loose, but with today's investment molding processes, it should be a one piece design. Optics Planet gave me a good price, especially considering ATN's MSRP.
Pros: Excellent addition to a tactical rifle and scope combo.
Cons: Upper ring half and picatinny rail should be one piece.
