Bino-x... an amazing product! - ATN BinoX 4-16x50mm Smart Day/Night Digital Binoculars

I got impatient waiting for this to be stocked and bought this locally at a local retailer, better pricing is found here but wanted to share my impression of the product. Order this NOW!

First, and once again (see my review of the 5x18 X-Sight) there is an ATN Bino-X Facebook page with a wealth of info and support (from ATN) for this product. It's a MUST HAVE resource. JOIN IT!

This product is amazing! More features that I personally will use, I wanted it solely for the night vision so I wasn't using my X-Sight for spotting game at night. I can easily see 400 yards and beyond in pitch black. Many of the same features and it uses the same interface of the X-Sight so once you've learned to navigate one product it translates directly over. Size and weight is directly comparable to a standard size 10x or 12x bino. In my opinion, viewfinder Image quality in Day mode exceeds that of the X-Sight (Of which I have NO complaints). Recorded video is in HiDef. Ease of use is better, as you're not dealing with alignment of a reticle to point of impact.

To level set your expectations before you order... Although the Bino-X looks somewhat traditional, it isn't like your traditional binoculars at all. One side of the Bino-X is the built in Infrared Illuminator, the other is what gathers the field of view. Pupil distance is adjusted not by a center pivot, but by sliding the right side ocular left or right. There is also a tripod socket built in on the under side. This product uses three CR123A batteries to power it. Like the X-Sight you'll want to use Li-Ion batteries to get useful battery life. You can also plug in an external battery using the micro USB port for additional power capacity. You'll also want to get a Class 10 MicroSD card (up to 32GB) if you want to use the picture/video functions, and it is also needed so that you can apply firmware/feature updates as they are released.

ATN support for my X-Sights (I bought one of each model) has been nothing short of phenomenal, I expect nothing different here. Their reps constantly monitor the facebook page and assist when needed. I purchased my X-Sights thru Optics Planet and found them equally as good so you're covered from both sides. You WILL NOT be left in the lurch should you experience ANY trouble.

It's been quite a wait for this product but it's definitely living up to the hype.
