Dead on arrival - ATN NVM14-2W Night Vision Monocular

Orderd this unit on Christmas…. It was dead on arrival. Tube will not power up. After a 1.5 second press the tube should be on and after an additional 2 second press the IR transmitter should activate. The tube never activates yet the IR does which is proven by a solid red bar.
The fact that the IR activates is proof this is not a battery issue, it is internal.
The unit takes a 123A battery, however it arrived with a AA battery in the package and no battery adapter or anything else to explain this discrepancy … obviously this is not an indication of good QC.
I will be forced to contact ATN because optics planet will not allow returns on this item.
I really don't want to waste my time on this unit….but now I have no choice
Save your money and get a real PVS 14….. I took a chance and got bit.
