nightlife's Review of ATN ThOR 4 4.5-18x50mm Thermal Smart HD Rifle Scope
What an awesome experience. Wow oh Wow.
In 2021 I decided to buy a night hunting scope to keep the hog population in check. I was on a budget and also did not understand the variety of night option scopes and how they would work for my situation. While shopping on the ATN website. I decided to chat with the online help. With a short conversation with Jeremy the salesperson. I then new I really wanted a thermal scope. Jeremy then assisted me in finding the best scope within my budget and explained the different lenses, resolutions and features. He was also very helpful with directions for payment options. Sometimes this paying online can be tricky. This scope was extremely easy to sight-in. Hooking-up and pairing the range finder was also very easy. It did not take very long to learn how to use most of its special features. I love the video recording, the Bluetooth to phone display, and the easy to adjust zoom knob. The 18-hour battery is also great. I typically use it 4-6 hours at a time and only have to charge it about every 6 to 8 uses. (Math does not add up because it has a power shut down, if inactive for a while). I typically use between 30-800 yards and can Identify large animals’ cows, deer, hogs up to 1000 yards and skunks, raccoons, rabbits at about 400 yards. The extra value I did not know I was getting, besides the awesome customer service I recently received from Jacob M. This thing works great in the daytime as well, even on 100+ degree days. On cold heavily foggy days, it is degraded (thermal duh), however still functional and can still animal identify out to at least 250 yards. Another unknown benefit is verifying deer herd population over food plots, without disturbing them. Checking pathway to deer hunting stand for big boars or skunks. We like to get to hunting stands well before daylight. In the old days I would sit in the dark abyss wondering if some of the noises were my prey. Now, I really enjoy watching all the predawn critter movement. Over a season this will give me 48 hours of living; instead of sitting in complete boredom. Can’t say enough “Wows” my ATN experience is awesome. P.S. killed about 30 hogs this past year and no cattle; even though sometimes they are intermingled. With this ATN scope I can definitely identify species and wait for the safe shot. Can’t help myself one more “Wow I really enjoy my ATN Thor 4 “384resolution” 4.5x18 scope.
