Looks amazing and then it died. - ATN Thor 5 LRF 2-16x 640x480 12 Micron Smart HD Thermal Rifle Scope, 30mm Tube w/ Gen 5 Sensor

I really wanted to love the ATN ThOR 5 LRF 640. The features are impressive — the image quality is outstanding, crisp, and clear even at higher magnifications, and the smart functions are genuinely useful. For the first 20 minutes, prior to mounting and shooting with it performed flawlessly and lived up to every expectation.

Unfortunately, that’s where the good part ends. After a single shot while zeroing it, the scope completely stopped working. No amount of troubleshooting or resets brought it back to life. It makes me question the long-term quality control on these units.

If ATN can get their reliability issues sorted out, this would easily be a 5-star product. For now, I’m giving it 3 stars — great concept and performance when it works, but questionable durability.
