Scott's Review of ATN ThOR LT 320 3-6x30mm 30mm Tube Thermal Rifle Scope

Thus far I have been happy with this thermal scope. Mounting went well on my bolt gun. The one-shot zero isn't perfect, but it certainly works well enough for my use. I haven't used it for hunting yet, but I'm fairly impressed with the resolution and visibility at night for the price point of the optic. I'm only looking to shoot out to a maximum of 200 yards, so I think this optic will suit my needs very well. It seems to be holding zero well, and I had no issues with bullet drift on the scope. I was quite impressed with how easily I was able to bore sight and get on target at 25 yards, then 100 yards. There is a line of static or pixelation when dry firing the rifle. Thus far, I haven't had any issue when live firing the rifle. I am very anxious to try out the scope this fall and winter predator hunting. Our winters where I live get down to -40°F, so I'm interested to see how well it will work in extreme cold. I'm already thinking of ways to keep the scope warm in extreme cold. Honestly, I'm not out in those conditions for extended periods anyway. At those temperatures, I don't last very long before getting cold myself. Overall, I have been impressed with the optic. Shipping and arrival was very prompt as well. I gave the optic 4-stars since I haven't got to hunt with it yet. I would very much recommend this product to others for value at price point. I would be very interested in trying an ATN thermal viewer as well.
Pros:
  • price point and ease of use
Cons:
  • Slight pixelation while dry firing
Would Recommend: Yes
