Don’t buy the scope mount - ATN ThOR LT 320 5-10x50mm Thermal Rifle Scope, 30mm Tube

First off I’d like to say this is an excellent scope. The thermal imaging and all around performance is on par for ATN. I have previously owned the Thor 4 1.5x5. An equally priced scope. In comparison this is a better scope only thermal. If you want the fancy bells and whistles I’d suggest getting 4x18 thermal. It’s 1000$ more than this model but definitely worth the extra money. Brother owns one, deeper pockets. Now the bad. The box it came in had zero padding. The mount, ATN brand, was just rolling around in there with the scope. Do not for any reason get the ATN mount that comes with this. The mount came with two screws stripped. After several emails, 6, to optics planet. Two of which I had to prove that it came with the mount. Despite have the order # and a screen shot of the order. They said to send the whole thing back in. And that it was up in the air until they received it. As far as liability per their return policy. So I’m stuck with the predicament of whether or not I should return a 2000$ scope for the “free” junk scope mount. So don’t buy the scope with the mount. Purchase it separately or upgrade as I did and get a better mount. The reviews on this mount aren’t the best but I did buy one for my father. And it’s great. No issues.
