ATN Thor LT 4-8X
Well it started off pretty rocky . I purchased the scope and it didn’t work from the get go . I brought it back and the place I bought it from and they sent it back to get repaired... the thermal sensor was bad. Two weeks later I get it back and let me tell you I was very surprised by the performanc...

ATN THOR LT
Sending mine back not happy at all! When you turn it on sometimes it goes to a all black screen then it will come on but you can’t see anything. It’s not clear at all like my Thor 4 2.5x25 and it just might be this one I got idk but either way it’s going back!

I have had nothing but fantastic satisfaction out of my scope, I can make out the animal at 200 yds feet easy in absolute darkness and wouldn’t trade it for another brand with more abilities than on mine, it is what I expected in a thermal and don’t understand why other people are having so many problems, please don’t give up it just takes getting used to thermal scopes, Thanks
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- Non found as yet

Great company and products
Although I have had some bumps in the road using my thermal scope, I have been exceedingly happy with the people that I've interacted with in the ATN company, such as Kelly Price, they made companies like this worth doing continued business with. My third scope on a savage 17hmr is a game changer! The quick mount and thermal targets get the job done right.
Pros:
- light weight
- Easy to use & operate
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Coyote and varmint hunting

You get what you pay for don’t expect nothing extravagant can’t compare it to a higher dollar thermal if you make the purchase of a thermal go big or go home trust me

Excellent scope now that I found a way to keep it charged.
I love this scope. I used a hand warmer to zero it at 200 yards. It shows a bright image in pitch blackness. The only issue I had was keeping it charged, since I don't use it daily. I know from experience that even lithium batteries degrade if left plugged in all the time. When I leave it unplugged, the batteries discharge in a few months. I found a device on Amazon called Charge-O-Matic. It's basically a long term timer. I plugged my scope charger into the Charge-O-Matic and set it to come on every 30 days for 8 hours. I run the cord right into the rifle case. Now my scope is fully charged every time I go to use it and the batteries will last for years at this rate.
Pros:
- bright image
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Big game

Good quality scope
This is my first thermal vision scope and I love it. This unit is light weight also. It's only 1.4 lb and seems like a traditional scope. Navigation is easy and user friendly. Adjustments are easy to make in the field. I love the internal battery - it lasts for a near 10 hrs without charging. I definitely would recommend it.

Great scope for the money
Mainly bought it to hunt hogs. Scope was mounted to my AR rifle. The one shot zero was great. The thermal picture is wonderful. The battery life is near 10 hrs. But anyway I did acquire a battery pack to extend the battery life. This unit doesn't have all the video features that Thor 4 has. But it is much lightway and has a better price tag.

Outstanding customer service
Spoke with Jacob in customer service, emailed me a postage paid label, sent it in to be inspected and in no time they sent me a new one! Can't beat a customer service experience like that! Highly recommend ATN products.

- Five stars

So far, so good.
Just got the Thor LT 4-8x 160 and so far, I’m impressed. I am sure it is an upper end of an entry level thermal, but for the price it’s just right. I don’t need all the streaming and WiFi enabled etc. I just need to see a target in the dark. I plan to use it for predator removal on my property and I think it will work well. I unpacked everything and immediately hooked up the charger. You just need a 2A cube plug like you use for charging your phone. I have a bunch of them rolling around in a drawer. Says 6 hours to fully charge and after 6 hours it was showing fully charged. I read the manual while I waited and familiarized myself with the features and how to access them. I haven’t mounted it to my rifle because, according to my wife, it’s a Christmas present! and I have to wait! So I just held it and played around with the features and got it adjusted to my liking. I used the cats and dogs as my targets and could clearly tell what I was looking at. Granted, I was looking at them from just over 20 feet, but once I take it outside and scan my fields, I imagine I will be able to adjust it to my environment. If I have problems, I will update the review. I went for this model because I wanted something better than the base model and I couldn’t afford nor do I need, (at least for the moment!), the top of the line model. We don’t have a hog problem up in the PNW, just a seasonal ‘yote problem so I couldn’t convince myself to go bigger when it will be sitting unused more often than...

sending it back for the 3rd time in a year
started out great, bought to put on my AR10, walked out in the yard and looked at all the thermal targets, was awestruck, then the work started, after finally getting it sighted in, it started freezing up, sent it back to ATN and got it back about a month later, powered it up all seemed fine, put it on my AR10 again same thing happened again after about 3 months. Sent it back in again and got it back in 2 weeks, this time I kept it on my AR15 and had no problems until I decided to put on a Ruger Mini 30, just got it sighted in and wouldn't you know it, screen is freezing up again after every shot and sometimes while racking a round. I feel that this maybe ok for a .22 or maybe an AR15 but so far for me if I put it on anything .30 or over its a waste of time ammo and money
Pros:
- Affordable
Cons:
- Screen freezes occasionally, have to turn it off then back on again
Best Used for:
- .22 or maybe an AR15 only
Would recommend: No
