Overall a solid purchase- steep learning curve - ATN X-Sight-II 5-20x Smart HD Day/Night Rifle Scope

For an entry level unit, this is a good product so far. After the first hour, I was ready to pack it up and send it back as non-operational. Until you get accustomed to the night vision nuances it appears to not work. However, after I took the time the following night to learn how to focus the unit and get the illuminator to light up the area properly, it has a lot of promise. Keep your expectations reasonable and you won't be disappointed. Don't expect the night vision to be as clear as the marketing pics on the ATN website. Even though the output is grainy and the depth of focus is very narrow, it will allow you to see and make a shot when you otherwise would see total blackout thru a conventional scope. Expect that it is big and bulky because it is really a camcorder with crosshairs. Zeroing the unit was as described and the Ballistic Calculator seems to work very well which is critical if you are using it for subsonic 300BO applications where the POI at 60yds and 100yds is a 5" difference. As other reviewers point out, it will gobble up AA alkaline batteries in very short order(1-2 hrs). I invested about $50 in rechargeable Kentli Lith-Ion AA batteries which extend the life considerably(6-8hrs). I also have the external battery pack which is 100% functional but adds to the weight and awkwardness of the rifle. Also as others have stated, the illuminator is decent but the CR123 batteries will eat you up, get an aftermarket illuminator that uses a rechargeable 18650 battery for another $40-50. The mobile app is handy to make setting changes but it is missing some key functionality that you would expect it to have. Fortunately that can be fixed with software updates if the manufacturer is listening to its customers. Overall it meets my expectations which is an entry level unit that allows me to hunt at night up to 100-150yds, maybe more. Don't expect this unit to compete with $1,500-$2,500 units, if you do, don't bother and spend the extra cash.
