Eric's Review of AXIL Ghost Stryke Extreme Ear Buds
Background: I’m an executive protection agent and director of firearms training of a security company teaching civilians and law enforcement. I double plug given my volume of shooting.
Product Pro’s: They do not give off electronic feedback when I wear ear muffs overtop of them. Also, the hearing enhancement is excellent for an ear bud.
Product Negatives: They cant stand the heat. Literally. I have had 4 pairs fail on me as soon as ambient temperatures reach into the 70’s. Again, if you don't double plug, you might be fine. But for serious shooters, those running long guns (and instructors in particular who need to not lose situational awareness with hearing loss), these just don't cut it on durability.
Still looking for an electronic solution for double plugging. This isn’t it.
