These extension rings solve several problems. They allow the scope to be mounted closer to the shooters eye to make the eye relief more comfortable.
Also on single shot top brake rifles and shotguns with a exposed hammer. They allow the eyepiece of the scope to be mounted to the rear of the hammer for clearance and to keep the scope mounted low as possible.
Pros: Lightweight, strong, low priced
Cons: I would like to see these rings available in steel also.
