As a professional gunsmith, there is no advantage to using parts that just work, or only kind-of fit.

This is the mount that everybody likes the looks of when it is installed. Tryed the other one - skip it - this is the good stuff. - Josh the Gunsmith.
Pros: Fits right, solid, and looks like it belongs.
Cons: Have to notch the stock, recommend gunsmith installation only.
