Solid Lockup, Great Aesthetics — Just Lacks Easy Length Adjustment

I purchased the B5 Systems Folding AK Stock (5.5mm Pin, Matte, Code: 24X-3AK-AKSTOCK-AKM-1490) on 05/26/2026 for my MDC AK103, and it is a massive upgrade with only one minor drawback.

The Pros:

* Flawless Fit: The 5.5mm pin dropped perfectly into the MDC AK103 receiver without requiring any filing.
* Rock Solid: When extended, the lockup is incredibly tight with zero wobble or flexing.
* Perfect Color Match: The classic Russian plum color looks absolutely great and matches my other plum B5 furniture perfectly for a seamless, uniform look.
* Smooth Hinge: The folding mechanism operates smoothly while remaining stiff enough to stay securely in place.

The Only Con:

* Adjustment Speed: The only negative is that it is not as quick or easy to extend for length of pull compared to other adjustable stocks on the market.

Overall, if you value a rugged, fixed-stock feel that can still fold away for storage, this is a premium choice for an AK103 build.
