Epic barrel - Ballistic Advantage Modern Series 5.56x45mm Barrel

Bought this barrel to build a 11.5” upper for my SBR lower. First off, I see people posting, they were mad that it wasn’t dimpled or didn’t have holes drilled for a FSB. Having worked in the firearm industry first hand. I can say this. Most barrels don’t come predimpled or pre drilled from factory. They don’t because not every gas block is the same, not every barrel is going to use a FSB. Companies leave them blank so the user/consumer can install there gasblock of FSB as they desire. Some retailers offer to dimple it for you, or install a fsb, done by a gun smith. The company I worked for sold Colt barrels, we got them new from colt. No blanks came dimpled or drilled.

I had to say that because my BA barrel I bought as a blank knowing it was one I was not expecting a dimple, which I did my self. I would not pin a barrel myself as I’m not a gun smith. The barrel shoots amazing. Great price. Oh tip for some it you free floating the barrel under a handgaurd, and don’t want to dimple the barrel apply a thin layer of red lock tight along the bottom of we’re the gas block will sit, don’t get any in the gas port or use to much, after applying it slide the gas block down and line it up tighten the screws and poof if ain’t moving. To remove it, apply heat via torch, not a lot of heat but enough to loosen the locktight. Dont get it so hot it’s glowing, at that point you ruined your barrel lol. Anyway love it and would recommend it.
