Smith133's Review of Badger Ordnance M16A2/M4 Bolt Carrier Group (BCG)
The bolt carrier is a "mil-spec" group, and it appears to be of good quality, except for the extractor spring. During initial test firing, the weapon had cycling issues in terms of extracting the casing, and thus causing misfeeding during the attempt by the bolt to feed the next round into the chamber. The shells that did eject were in primarily the the three to four o'clock position. Diagnosis of the situation led me to depressing the extractor toward the side far too easily with a fingernail. I had to order a BCM extractor 5 coil spring which resolved the issue. All is well now, however given the price of this BCG, a low priced spring ahould not be the cause of the issues I had, and the BCG should have come with a better spring out of the box in my opinion.
Pros:
- good quality
Cons:
- Weak extractor spring
