Good factory ammunition - Barnes VOR-TX Long Range 300 PRC 208 Grain Polymer Tip Nickel Plated Rifle Ammunition

Bought these for an upcoming moose hunt. I wanted something tougher than the ELDX and I don't have the time to work up a load. My Christensen Arms Mesa 300 PRC with 1-8 twist seems to like it. I am consistently getting 1 inch groups at 100 yards. I did not run any through the chronograph yet but the numbers on the box seem to be pretty close. I set up 4 milk jugs filled with water at 300 yards and went 4-4 on hits using the box data. My only complaint is they fit extremely tight (length wise) in the magazine of my rifle. I can only load 2 rounds into the magazine before it jams up. It does not do that with Hornady ELDX rounds. But I could live with loading 2 plus 1 in the chamber. It does cycle them smoothly when loaded that way. The point of impact was only 2 inches higher than the 212 ELDX at 100 yards. Very minor adjustment needed to get these sighted in.
