Glasses-wearers and anyone who needs to wear protective eyewear have traditionally been just left behind if they needed any sort of portable optics. A few manufacturers made high end long eye relief monoculars and binoculars, but even those were few and far between. Finally, Barksa has introduced an LER optic. I have no measuring equipment, but clarity and brightness seem to put it on par with any mid-range stuff. Focus has sufficient range, without the extra slop at the end; adjustments do not need to be too small, tend to hold but are not so tight you worry about breaking the device. No spherical or chromatic abberation is apparent. Its a bit larger than many would choose for a portable monocular. Partly, this is nice for the light gathering (its slightly belled at the front) but its also slightly too magnified. An 8x would serve better for a general purpose scope. The body is holding up so far, even the rubber cover and logo inlay. Time will tell as to this construction. The lenscaps are essentially useless, barely stay on and have no retention system. I am replacing with rifle scope flip up caps to speed use. There's a case, purportedly for carrying on the bet, which is useless and I discarded shortly. A cheap lanyard is also included, which I use as I haven't gotten around to replacing it, but is really not that whippy. For the price, hard to complain about anything though. Highly suggested.
Pros: Most everything
Cons: Slightly too high mag, cheap case and covers
