Couldn't focus clearly at desired distance - Barska 20-60x60mm WP Blackhawk Waterproof Spotting Scope

Was concerned that a Spotting Scope at $100 could actually meet my needs, but after reading the reviews, decided to give it a shot. Overall, after opening box, it seemed like a lot for your $$$. Comes in a case and with a small stand that, while light, seemed to do the job. I played around with it in front of my house, and couldn't get a clear focus on objects over 100 yards. Tried to focus on a car license plate and couldn't even read it at about 175 yards. Will be returning it. Maybe I just got a bad one.
Never returned anything to OpticsPlanet. Hopefully the procedure is not too painful.
