Won't hold a zero - Barska 4-16x40 IR Point Black .223 B.D.C. Rifle Scope, 3G IR Reticle

I mounted this scope on a Remington 700 in .308 Winchester caliber with a 26" heavy barrel, which doesn't have a lot of recoil, thinking that it would work OK. Not. It is overpowered by this rig. It will shoot great 1" groups at 200 yards, then jump over 5" and start shooting groups there. When they say it is engineered for the .223 bullet, they mean that, and absolutely nothing more powerful. I wouldn't even trust it then.
Pros: great features
Cons: ... but it won't stay zero'd. not even from shot to shot.
