Illumination doesn't work as stated - Barska 1.5-6x42 IR Huntmaster Pro Illuminated Rifle Scope AC10054 Rifle Scope

The illumination dial has settings from 1 to 11. My scope crosshairs do not illuminate until I go to setting 11. I did not buy the scope for the illumination feature, but it would be nice if it worked as stated.
Pros: nice looking, inexpensive, seems well built
Cons: illumination does not work except at highest
