Wont hold zero - Barska 4-16x50 AO Varmint Rifle Scope w/ Adjustable Objective - AC10042 Rifle Scope

I am a highly qualified police sharpshooter but I can't get this scope to produce anything tighter than a 5 inch group at 100 yrd. Terrible. I suspect that the haphazard shot placement has more to do with a faulty unit than the model itself. Normally at 100 yds I can put 5 inside an inch.
Pros: inexpensive
Cons: wont hold zero
