Kevin's Review of Bering Optics PVS-14BE Night Vision Monocular
I picked up a Gen 3 with manual gain a few weeks ago during a sale. Bering's PVS-14 is generally ~$200 cheaper than an equivalent generation from another manufacturer. I haven't been able to use it outside of city limits yet. Will edit after I do so.
No real complaints with the unit so far. Works well with my IR flashlights and lasers. Can work with a NV compatible EOTech and magnifier if you change the focal point. Somewhat feasible with a head/helmet mount, but better with a weapon mount.
I had heard people complain that depth perception isn't the best. I didn't have any problems. Apparently dog poo is hard to see with these. ;)
