Lobo's Review of Bianchi 150 Negotiator Holster

I’ve used one of these holsters since the late 1970s. It came with the garter attached to its elastic suspender, which was sewn into the holster cuff. I’d still be using it if the suspender hadn’t worn out from constantly rubbing on checkered pistol grips as it carried my SIG P230 for decades.

I’d hoped to repurchase the same rig, but this one came with a disconnected garter and a Velcro attachment for hooking a suspender to the garter, but no suspender material. Bianchi has fixed the unrepairable suspender of their old design by adding a d-ring to the holster cuff. I’ve purchased some 1” elastic webbing and I’ve fashioned my own suspender using the Velcro included with the holster. A lot of extra work.

My other complaint is the angle of the holster pocket on the ankle cuff. My original holster/cuff carried the pistol at a forward-angled “FBI” tilt, thus hiding the pistol’s butt by bringing it forward against the leg. The new design holds the pistol more vertically, causing the butt to stand proud and print against my trouser’s leg. Short grips are required for my S&W M642, not my preferred longer Crimson Trace laser grips and even then there is still minor printing.

All that said, this is still the finest ankle holster I’ve tried, and I’ll continue to wear it.
