Used with a Colt 1911 government, the lower part of the holster required stretching to comfortably fit the width of the Colt 1911 slide. Length for a five inch barrel was very adequate. Once stretched it snugly held the 1911 and functions as it should. The flap effectively protects the hammer and thumb safety from being snagged while working through heavy brush. The addition of the M1415 thumb snap system improves access when the flap protection is not desired. The snug containment in either configuration eliminates worries of the pistol falling out, no matter what you are doing.
The holster is ambidextrous and can be set up for right or left hand or crossdraw for either.
If your desire is for concealed carry this is probably not the holster you want. If the desire is to protect a pistol while working outdoors, I found it to be an effective choice.
Pros: snug
Cons: snug
