eTripper's Review of BlackHawk 1.5in Instructors Gun Belts

I purchased this belt in 'basic black', and later acquired one in 'multi-cam pattern'. Before purchasing, I researched the product carefully from other reviews, and from purchasers on YouTube. In my case, I ordered the large size; since my actual waist is about 38-40". The large's have a range of between 41-51 inches, when actually measured: the large is 51 inches in over-all length. Just putting the belt on alone through the buckle, will eat-up about an inch and a half of length. Six to eight inches, of extra; workable belt works for me. It allows plenty of slack for pistol, mag-clip, flashlight, multi-tool, and key fob. This is also a great item for carrying tools afield, especially IT, and telecommunications gear. This belt is manufactured in the USA, and I could find no-use of 'inferior' materials, or workmanship at all, and I'm very picky about what I purchase, since I have limited funds for gear. So buy quality, and then, you'll be worry-free. The 'webbing' for the 'black version' [solid-colors] is rated at 7,000 pounds psi. While the 'multi-cam' belt is rated for 5,000 pounds psi. The hardware; on the belt is rated under PIA [Parachute Industry Standards] H-7195. This belt is 'not intended', or for usage as 'repelling' gear, but provides an emergency buckle for attaching a carabiner as an extra-safety precaution. For example, if you wanted to hook-up to a safety-tether; for use in a 'cherry-picker'. Belt comes with the right-amount of rigidity, and is reinforced around the buckle-area. It will require a few weeks wear, to properly break-it-in. The end-of-the-belt is cut at an angle, but not as nicely finished as my 'Wilderness Belt's' end tab. But this; is of no real consequence, in the over-all quality of the item. I wish Black Hawk would consider a 'digital edition' to their line-up. This is probably one of the best pistol belts on the market you can buy! Just heed the caveat about measuring yourself properly.
