Great Product
Very impressed with this product. Mounted in 2 minutes. Holds in place and seems very rugged for the cost. However, after a few uses and allowing the weapon to hang for a few training courses the clamp screw had loosened. Easily remidied by applying thread lock. Very happy with purchase

blackhawk ar 15 sling mount FAILURE!!!!
Hello I a Police Officer and I put this product on my Ar-15 with-in 30mins it not only scratched my buffer tube but it failed and started sliding around.
Do no buy this spend the extra 5 bucks and get a Magpul one.
Pros: its easy to put on
Cons: It broke in less than 30 min
good for the price
put it on my S&W M&P 15 Sport good product for the price and ease of installation. it went on easy with no tools, it comes with two washers i only used one and a little thread lock, so far so good. i just qualified for my department with it on for a two day course and no problems. the only thing I don't like is it sits on the threads at the end of the stock. Those threads seem pretty sturdy so I don't think it will be a problem in the future.

Time saver
If you're looking to avoid having to remove your buffer tube to install an adapter plate, this mount is for you. It slides on easy and tightens down via a clamping motion. It is very secure once in place. It's a little pricey, but to avoid having to deal with the pain of removing a staked buffer tube, I was willing to pay the price. Works with commercial and mil-spec tubes.

This thing works
Easy to set up, no tools needed. Just slip off the stock and it fits right in. Very sturdy with no movement, solid.

This device is easy to install. Remove sliding portion of stock, slide adapter down to Buffer tube nut. It self centers when installed properly. Tighten screw with provided star wrench. (Washers are included for civilian buffer tubes.) Reinstall butt stock. Install sling. The only thing not explained in the instructions is removal of the butt stock. This requires an additional tool to stick under the lever and lift to get past the last indent. Almost anything that will fit under the lever and allow you to lift can be used.
The only disadvantage to this adapter (and any other that doesn't replace the buffer retaining nut is the stock will not lock in the fully collapsed position. I also had to trim about 1/8 inch of padding to fit the rifle into my form fit case.
My one complaint is the ring isn't large enough to fit two hooks on the same side.
If I had access to a gunsmith or spanner wrench I would go with replacing the buffer nut. Otherwise this is an excellent choice for a single point sling adapter.
