Another excellent and very well-made product by BlackHawk. As some other posters have stated, this belt is very stiff, but should break in a little over time. It is also 2.25" tall, so keep this in mind if you are trying to use this in combination with a vest or any other equipment that has built-in belt-keepers or non adjustable loops. The latch is a three point mechanism, with the standard upper and lower of side release buckles, but also with a rectangular lock "button" that must be depressed at the same time. This definitely avoids the possibility of it ever snagging and accidentally opening, but also gives you one more step to think about if you are trying to ditch your gear quickly.
