Legacy Reviewer's Review of Blackhawk Initial Response Vest 31RV01BK

First off, the title is misleaded. There isn't really any molle webbing. There is, however, is a vertical of six on the right side L-Shape pouch (an odd shape pouch, will get to that later). From the product front view you see a pouch on the left hand side, this has a clear window flap to hold an I.D. card. Inside will hold eight 8 or 12 hours light sticks. Zipper on the side, actually it has zipper on all pouches. Right between the buckles and this pouch you see a bungee loop, it will hole a 3D cell flashlight. Follow by a medium size pouch I used it for extra batteries. Follow by a smaller pouch it will fit a pair of work gloves and some 6 pairs of nitrile gloves.
The first pouch on the Right hand side, this pouch has velcro loop on the back and attached to the vest, but it is not removable because the top is sewed to the vest. Really strange design. It doesn't hold much, I put two Quikclot Silver, two 4" Celox Guaze and a trauma shear. Outside you see two panel of Velcro loops you can put patches on.
Follow by this L-Shape pouch, this is where the 6 vertical molle webbing located. Not really a good place to attach any pouch on because it is between two pouch and the zipper right next to it.
On the back is the hydration pouch, on top from the rear view you see the Velcro patch area. On top of that is the Drag Handle also have Velcro hook on it. There is a clip between the Velcro patch and Blackhawk name tag.
Two snap hook on the left side, I put some zip ties and an antenna in it.
Three more stripe of Velcro loops on the bottom, I am thinking of put a Maxpedition Dual Mag Retention Insert, it will hold two more small flashlight.
The front harness kind of weak, only with one inch nylon stripe. I reinforced them with two 12 inches Blackhawk S.T.R.I.K.E. Module Belt Panels. Now this vest has molle webbing for extra pouches, radio, a gear retractor! And it seem more secure, before it often fall on to one side, I wear XL and 5'11". Unless you are really tall, I don't recommend putting the Initial Response Belt on.
