The very best for me - Blackhawk Warrior Wear Desert Ops Boots, Sage Green

I've been wearing these in a different color for about five years. And they're still going strong. Only problem with them is that the cat likes to claw on the toes, so now I have a somewhat "distressed suede" finish on one. I bought this second pair only because it was on sale, and I didn't want to EVER have to be without a pair of these boots.

I've got bad knees, so the cushioning in these is wonderful to behold. NO paid in the knees. It feels as if one is walking on marshmallows, so nicely cushioned are they.

By putting a know in the end of the lace. the laces never come out fo the eyelets. One only has to separage the tongue to get them off and on. No more lacing up boots. Love that feature, and the laces slide right through this type of eyelet. Very fast donning and doffing.

I'm a retired Marine, so I guess I'm as qualified as any to say I can appreciate a good pair of boots. And these are definitely them.

Thankfully they are not lined with Gore-Tex or the like, for that fabric prevents the moisture in the foot from escaping, in spite of they're "brethability" marketing to the contrary. So these don't have that; when the foot gets wet it naturally dries out.

The very best pair of walking boots I've ever worn, hands down.
