Matt S.'s Review of Blackout Defense Stryker AR-15 Ambi Charging Handle

Well made, fully ambidextrous, and great color options.

This charging handle is very comparable to the Raptor or SCH that I have on my other guns.

The latches protrude enough for me to get a consistent grip on them regardless of what optic I am running.

Latch mechanism operates smoothly when disengaging from and re-engaging with the upper receiver.

Charging handle design often comes down to personal preference but a must have for all of them is that the be boringly reliable. The Stryker definitely checks that box.

The fit and finish on this are what I have come to expect from Blackout Defense. They bring the same level of attention and care to all their products whether it is a trigger, a magazine catch, or a charging handle.

Definitely recommend trying one of these out.
Pros:
  • color options
  • Quality materials
  • Excellent fit and finish
  • Fully ambidextrous
  • Resilient finish
Cons:
  • Not a monolithic design like FCD ACF
Best Used for:
  • ARs
