Heavy and stout, but it’s vulnerable - BOG Adrenaline Switcheroo Bipod

What I’ve learned writing reviews on Optic planet, is you can’t hit the return button to space your paragraphs. It will finish your review. This bipod is 2.5# and you can feel it. If you are a high mountain hunter who likes side hilling and dropping into holes where missing people don’t come back, then you might consider this bipod. I like light weight equipment. I’ve heard differences from everyone. My preference is to cut as much weight as possible out of my gear. I like ascending razorbacks and ridge lines. Less weight is preferred. I might consider using this bipod as a hybrid ‘trekking pole.’ It’s a stout piece of equipment. The feet are adjustable. This exposes the cleats or covers them up. The ‘V’ or I think it’s called a cradle, is ok. My reasoning is it’s too wide. Maybe I’m critical. I did have a primos expandable bipod since 2014. It finally broke. It was light weight and durable. I went hundreds of miles with it. I really liked how the cradle hugged the stocks on my guns. There were also these HD soft plastic cuts that grabbed the stock which in return stabilized my shot. I am critical of this. My gun doesn’t slide around but it isn’t as secured. There are multiple leg adjustments for the Bog bipod. I do like that. Especially if you need a higher elevation platform to shoot off of. However, another downside is the way the craddle attaches to the bipod. It’s on a pin fitting that seems vulnerable and not secure. I do not like this. It is the least rugged thing on that bipod. If I return it, it’s because of that interchangeable system. Overall, it’s heavy duty and very practical for most hunters who aren’t as extreme as me. You’ll be very happy.
