This adapt a pod doesn't fit on the death grip tripod - BogPod Adapt-A-Pod

I purchased this Adapt A Pod thinking I would remove the Death Grip clamp from my tripod, and use the fiberglas tripod with other accessories.

Well the Adapt-A -Pod does not fit into the cylindrical hole where the Death Grip clamp was previously mounted. Dimensionally the top cylindrical hole on the tripod and the Adapt-A-Po are the same size ..no way to drop one inside the other as the photo suggests... might work on a different tripod>>> but not on the Bog Pod Deathgrip. Am I missing something here?

If Bog makes these to adapt other tripods and is not for use with their own line of gear, why wouldn't it be mentioned in the product description?? Absolutely useless in my circumstances.
