Secures a 55 gallon steel drum very well. The drum sits on three small brackets on the inside of each leg so the weight is not supported solely by hoop friction pressure. Each of the legs are long enough to secure inside of black iron pipe. The pipe legs must have a 1 1/4 inch inside diameter to fit securely over the band legs. Exercise caution when tightening around the drum because you can damage the brackets holding the clamp bolts.
Pros:
- Very secure
- Internal leg brackets keep drum from settling down
Cons:
- Finish is "soft" - scratches easily
Best Used for:
- 55 gallon steel drum wildlife feeders
