Boss buck control unit - Boss Buck Control Unit 12v w/timer Feeder

I mounted this control unit to the bottom of a steel drum with 1/4-20 bolts, lock washers and nuts. I would avoid the self tapping sheetmtal screws that come with the unit for strength and security. The unit seals up well and is somewhat difficult to get open. The gated spinner is balanced and reduces spillage of feed. The spinner height is easily adjustable and can be leveled from side to side. The 12 volt motor has plenty of strength to throw a good radius of feed. The timer has remained accurate and produces a consistent feed time. I feed whole corn once a day with a 4 second spin at medium rotation. This broadcasts approximately 25-30 lbs of whole corn a week; your experience may be different since there are many factors affecting feed rate. I'm happy with performance of the unit, just wish the timer was programmable by the days of the week.
